Description | Questions regarding this project may be directed in writing to the City of St. Marys Public Works Director, Bobby Marr, at 418 Osborne Street, St. Marys, Georgia, 31558 or by email at bmarr@stmarysga.gov The work shall include removing and replacing the decking and handrails for the Tilden Norris Marshwalk Project per the Project Scope and Specifications at 425 West St. Marys Street, St. Marys, Georgia 31558. The Contractor shall provide the necessary labor, construction equipment, fuel, etc required for project. The work shall include removing and replacing the decking and handrails. Questions regarding this project may be directed in writing to the City of St. Marys Public Works Director, Bobby Marr, at 418 Osborne Street, St. Marys, Georgia, 31558 or by email at bmarr@stmarysga.gov. The City of St. Marys will select the bid that, in its sole discretion is the most responsive and responsible to the City. The City is not liable for any cost incurred by vendors in the preparation of this bid The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-advertise, pursuant to federal and state law. The work shall include removing and replacing the decking and handrails for the Tilden Norris Marshwalk Project per the Project Scope and Specifications at 425 West St. Marys Street, St. Marys, Georgia 31558. The Contractor shall provide the necessary labor, construction equipment, fuel, etc. required for the successful completion of the project. All Work shall conform to the Project Specifications and all applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Contract time for construction shall be 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed Mailed or delivered in sufficient time to ensure receipt by the Purchasing Agent on or before the time and date specified above. Hand Delivery and Mailing Address: City of St. Marys Purchasing Agent 418 Osborne Street St. Marys, GA 31558 Question Deadline 10/11/2023 The city is requiring any interested bidders to meet onsite December 15, 2021, at 10:00 am. Any other arrangements must be approved in advance by Shawn Clearwater. Shawn can be reached at sclearwater@stmarysga.gov 1. To remove and replace the existing decking material with new decking material. 2. To remove and replace the existing handrails with new handrail material. 3. To install new post sleeves and caps around the existing posts. 4. The city is supplying the new decking material, handrails, post sleeves and caps. 5. To remove or temporarily support the existing electrical components (lights, outlets, conduit, distribution panel, etc.) while making the repairs. 6. To re-attach the existing electrical components removed or temporarily supported once the repairs are completed. 7. Make any adjustments to the Marshwalk for any height difference due to material changes at the point of beginning where the Marshwalk abuts the sidewalk. |
