Description

**As of August 16,2022. It has not been fully awarded. It will be recommended by the City Commission to award it to them in September. The start dates should be January-March 2023. THE CITY OF BELLEVIEW will be accepting Bids for the Demolition and Rebuild of Lake Lillian Fishing Pier. Contract award will be made by the City Commission at a regularly scheduled meeting. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technical errors and informalities and make the award in the best interest of the city. All work on this project shall be conducted and completed in accordance with the Request for Bids prepared by the City. Proposals shall be submitted for the completed demolition and rebuild of the existing fishing pier. The Project consists of: o Demolition of existing dock o Rebuild new fishing pier with: o 64'x10' walkway o 48'x14' pad at the end of pier o 16'x18' covered sitting area o Gable roof system - 4/12 pitch with 26 gauge metal sheeting o 42" handrail with 2"x2" spindles o Composite decking material (Trex or approved equal) o 7 (seven) 5' Composite benches o See sketch for proposed layout o Other Specifications: o Pilings to be installed with a 240-pound pneumatic hammer to seat pilings into a solid hardpan; do not use a water jet. Posts to be at the standard 3'-4' min. o All support joists must be 2'x8', constructed with (2) 10" galvanized carriage bolts at each post connection. o All subfloor framing to be built 16" on center. o Other specifications: 6x6 roof posts, 4x6 deck posts, double 2x8 roof beam work and ridge boards, 2x6 rafters and fascia, typical 16" overhang, 2x4 purlins with 26 gauge multi-rib metal roofing All questions must be submitted in writing before July 11, 2022 at 5:00 PM EST and emailed to btitterington@belleviewfl.org and lmerritt@belleviewfl.org
