Description

**As of July 26, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** The work in general will include: the placement of a tar & chip double seal coat bituminous surface treatment on various roadway sections within the Borough of Parryville. All project areas and roadway sections to be completed for this project will be contained within the existing Borough right-of-way areas. All work shall be completed within 60 calendar days of the date of project commencement. It is anticipated that the project will then be awarded at the Borough Council Meeting on July 18, 2022. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Parryville or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated amount. An acceptable surety company is any one included in the latest issue of the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 listings and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance to do business in Pennsylvania. The Borough of Parryville reserves the right to reject all or any Bids or parts thereof, and waive technicalities as it deems best in the interest of the Borough. Additionally, all unit price and total cost amounts must be completed on the bid sheet to be considered a complete bid. Bids may be held by the Borough of Parryville for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The scope of work for this project includes the 2022 Tar & Chip Project for the Borough of Parryville, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The proposed improvements will include: the placement of a tar & chip double seal coat bituminous surface treatment on various roadway sections within the Borough of Parryville. All project areas and roadway sections to be completed for this project will be contained within the existing Borough right-of-way areas.
