The City of Charleston (City) is accepting Statements of Qualification for Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) Contractor Services for the Concord Street Pump Station Upfit project. The City owns, operates, and maintains the Concord Street Pump Station, which was placed into service in approximately 1998. The Pump Station provides stormwater service for the Calhoun-East and Market Street watersheds (approx. 240 Ac), contains four (4) main stormwater pumps (170,000 gpm capacity), contains two (2) deep dewatering pump (600 gpm - 1,840 gpm/ ea), and receives stormwater flow from four (4) deep tunnels and a wet well (150 ft deep) to the Cooper River through a discharge outfall. The Concord Street Pump Station Upfit may include, but not be limited to, rehabilitation of the main stormwater pumps, replacement or upgrades to the dewatering pumps, building upgrades, structural improvements for wet well and outfall rehabilitation, upgrades to the electrical and controls systems, and consideration of site accessibility for all improvements. The City is using a two-phase procurement process whereby the City will receive SOQs and invite highest-ranked contractors to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase. Contractors interested in submitting construction bids for this Project must apply to prequalify. |
