Herbicide Application at 17 Sites - MN, WI and IA

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District intends to issue a solicitation for the control and eradication of target vegetative growth, through the application of chemical herbicides on specified areas at thirteen locks and dams, the Fountain City Service Base, Eau Galle Lake Project, Blackhawk Park, and the Alma Radio Transmission Site. Work shall consist of furnishing all necessary equipment, labor, materials and herbicides, necessary to accomplish the specified vegetative control and eradication. The single, firm-fixed price contract awarded shall be for a base year, plus four option years, exercisable by the Government. The herbicide application shall be timed during the active growing season, to achieve the optimum results. Initial application will generally be between 15 May and 30 June. Treatment areas are located at these sites. Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam (USAF) Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam (LSAF) Lock and Dam #1 Lock and Dam #2 Lock and Dam #3 Lock and Dam #4 Alma Radio Transmission Site Lock and Dam #5 Fountain City Service Base Lock and Dam 5A Lock and Dam #6 Lock and Dam #7 Lock and Dam #8 Lock and Dam #9 Lock and Dam #10 Eau Galle Lake Project Blackhawk Park Licensing: The contractor, all of his employees, and any subcontractors performing any of the work under this contract shall possess a valid state commercial herbicide applicator's license for the state in which work is being performed and shall comply with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations applicable to the contract work and to the products and materials used by the contractor in performing that work
