Horse Island Dock Installation at Sackets Harbor Battlefield

The General Work Contract D005809 or "GC" includes all labor, materials, and equipment as indicated in the drawings and specifications. Contract includes construction of two floating dock systems at Horse Island, at the east-end of the Island. Dock "A" is oriented approximately east-west, located north of the causeway, and will be used for vessels traveling to the public marina in Sackets Harbor. Dock "B" is oriented approximately north-south, and will be used for vessels traveling to the future mainland site directly across the lake. Each dock system includes removable docks and gangways, flexible anchoring, and a segment of sidewalk at the shore. Contract includes erosion control measures as shown in the documents. Contract includes providing structural lifting frames near the dock bulkheads to facilitate seasonal installation and removal of the gangways and docks. Contract includes protection of partially-exposed underground electric primary near Dock "B".
