Description | Brazoria County Community Development will receive bids for the installation of a septic system which is federally funded by HUD. Bids are invited for the items and quantities of work as follows: Install new sanitary septic system at the following location: 7218 County Road 865, Alvin, Texas 77511. Bids are to be returned to Brazoria County Community Development Dept. Scope of work will consist of and includes the submission of: 1. Complete bid with all forms completed and signed, and all required documents returned. 2. Contractor and subcontractors must obtaining all required permits through Brazoria County Environmental Health Dept. With the exception of state fees, septic permit fees will be waived. 3. Bidders are responsible for all power and water needed to perform the installation of the septic system. Power and water service may be arranged with the homeowner. 4. Contractor's bid must include turn key product which may include, but is not limited to, any supplemental inspections for warranty, extra fill dirt for settling or damages, and debris removal in accordance with Brazoria County guidelines. 5. Contractor will be furnished with a survey of the property for septic design. 6. Attention is called that this is a HUD project. Contractor must provide a list of all subcontractors to be used on this project. Subconstractor eligibility form must be filled out completely. Failure to supply this list may result in non-compliance, and possible disqualification of the bid. Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment, permits, final grading, and subcontractors to complete the installation of the septic system. Contractor must maintain Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance in amounts sufficient to protect themselves, as required by Texas State Law. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. CD Dept reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the CD Dept for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from, or ineligible for participation on federally funded programs, may not undertake any activity in full or in part under any of these projects.
