2023 Downtown Sewer Renovations

As of December 05th, 2022, project was awarded to Timberlake Construction, LLC. The owner suggested a May start date. Est. Completion Date: July 31, 2023 Project Description: Improvements to the existing sanitary sewer collection system in East Main Street from Bozeman to Church Avenue, in North Bozeman Avenue from Mendenhall to Main Street, in South Church Avenue from Main to Babcock Street and in Babcock Street from Church to Rouse Avenue. Renovations include: removal and replacement of 2,037 lineal feet of sewer main, manholes, service connections, restoring disturbed areas to pre-existing conditions and all work related to and incidental to construction. For this project, bids will only be received and accepted the online electronic bid service through portal. A contractor may view the contract documents at no cost prior to becoming a Planholder. Project bid documents and addenda must be downloaded from portal, which will add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding, for the submittal of your bid. Electronic may be located using the link in the left-hand navigation menu on the City of Bozeman's Bids\RFPs\RFQs page or at portal. Bidders will be charged an additional fee of $15.00 to submit a bid electronically. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project, but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. In addition, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169, the entity awarded a contract under this project and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm it will abide by the above and that it has visited the State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work "best practices" portal, or equivalent "best practices publication and has read the material. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids.
