Community Center and Visitor Center

The City of Katy requests competitive sealed proposals for selective demolition and renovation / addition to two (2) existing buildings located on a block bounded by Avenue B, 2nd Street, Avenue C and 3rd Street in downtown of the incorporated limits of the City of Katy, Texas. 1. Building 1) former city council chamber structure fronting Avenue C. 2. Building 2) former city library structure fronting 2nd Street. The Project consists of construction of the following: Building 1) The former city council chamber structure fronting Avenue C, which will be re-purposed as a public meeting hall, or "Civic Center". The scope of work includes renovation and addition to accommodate new assembly space, public restrooms, concession area and ancillary spaces. Site infrastructure includes utility connections and sidewalk / connections. Building 2) The former city library structure fronting 2nd Street, which will be re-purposed as a "Visitors Center". The scope of work includes renovation and addition to accommodate new interior display spaces, public restrooms and ancillary spaces. Site infrastructure includes utility connections and sidewalk / connections.
