Water Street Community Park Project

As of July 05, 2023 bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The Project includes the following Work: The Borough of Jamestown seeks to construct a small community park on a parcel of land along the west side of Water Street. The lot currently has grassy terrain and mature trees along the perimeter. The Water Street Community Park Project will provide a play area with play equipment for multiple age groups, with a wood chip play surface (Add Alternative AA-1.5). A wide concrete sidewalk will encircle a central grassy area. A pre-engineered arched pavilion with electrical service, and lighting, will be constructed at the northwest comer of the site for picnicking and gathering. A pre-engineered plumbed restroom facility with electrical service, lighting, water, and sewer will be constructed in the southeast portion of the parcel. Electrical service and lighting also will be brought to an existing structure in the southwest corner of the property. Tree removal/stump grinding, earth moving and grading, raingarden construction, and new plantings are all landscape architecture requirements. These improvements will be stand-alone and will provide a park that is accessible and usable by the community. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract, or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States The Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders.
