Description | 1. Resurface pool decks to all existing fence lines and adjacent buildings. a. Grind all pool deck surfaces to ensure an even surface and adhesion of new surface. Fill/cover open structural cracks and seal with a concrete sealant with polyurethane. base to stop moisture from coming up from underlying areas and causing delamination. b. Pressure wash as needed. c. Acid etch as required by manufacturer. d. Prep all existing expansion joints for application of coatings. e. Mask off pool edge, gutters, deck drains, walls, doors, posts, anchors, tile, fencing. f. Apply 2 full coats of "Cool Pool Deck Coating" by Encore to entire pool area (Main pool area, kiddie pool area) per manufacturer's recommendations. Minimum 2-years manufacturer's warranty required. g. Apply splatter knockdown coating to all areas creating a non-slip surface in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Minimum 2-year manufacturer’s warranty required. 2. Resurface entire breezeway area between pool fence and parking area curb. a. Grind breezeway and ramp surfaces to ensure even surface and adhesion of new surface. b. Pressure wash as needed. c. Acid etch as required by manufacturer. d. Prep all existing expansion joints for application of coatings. e. Mask off wall edges, pillars, doors, fencing, interfaces of adjoining sidewalks. f. Apply Tremco Vulkem 351 to entire area. Minimum 2-years manufacturer's warranty required. g. Back roll Quartz sand (product supplied) evenly into the 351 to create a slip resistant surface. 3. Clean-up and final inspection. a. Ensure that all doors will open properly following resurfacing and entrances remain ADA compliant. b. Clean-up shall occur daily while pool is open in the evening and prior to reopening after any closure in order to maintain a safe environment. c. Within 3-5 days, check for and address any insufficient coverage areas, bubbles, etc. d. Final clean-up and removal of all construction debris. |
