Description

Design and construction of roadway improvements to I-75 (SR 93A) from S. of CSX/Broadway Avenue to EB/WB I-4 Exit Ramp for a total distance of 2.541 miles (MP 24.185 to 25.227 SB and 26.726 NB). The project will include a northbound collector-distributor (C-D) roadway, widening, reconstruction, and rigid pavement rehab of I-75 from S. of CSX/Broadway Avenue to EB/WB I-4 Exit Ramp and the milling/resurfacing and reconstruction along Martin Luther King (MLK) Boulevard from Queen Palm Drive to Williams Road to support the construction of a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Also included will be the widening and milling and resurfacing of Williams Road to provide an additional receiving lane for the dual left turn lanes from EB MLK Blvd. to NB Williams Road I-75 is an urban principle arterial interstate and MLK an urban principal other arterial. This project is within the Hillsborough County urban area boundary. • Design and construct a Diverging Diamond Interchange by reconstruction and adding a new bridge to the I-75 at MLK Blvd. existing interchange • Design and construct a connector-distributor roadway as depicted in the Concept Plans (R002) including providing a new bridge and widening an existing bridge at the CSX/SR574 crossing. • Rehabilitate existing concrete pavement as shown in Attachment A00X • Provide all permitting services as required to complete the project • Constructing Type A fence along all I-75 LA Right-of-Way limits as identified in the Concept Plans • Design and construct new signing and pavement markings, • Design and construct new signals at the MLK Blvd intersection with the northbound and southbound I-75 Ramps and modify the existing signal at MLK Blvd. and Williams Road • Design and construct signing as depicted in the Master Signing Plan (R00X) • Constructing new drainage systems, lighting and ITS features, • Minimum lane width for Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) shall be XX feet • Maintain existing number of lanes, including auxiliary lanes, during all phases of construction • AutoTurn analysis for all intersection movements for both temporary and final configurations (Design Vehicle: WB-62FL) • For asphalt roadways eradicate all pavement markings used in the control of traffic by functional milling and resurfacing.
