Description

The Beach Haven Drainage and Sanitary Sewer Project is a joint project between Escambia County and the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA), to be managed by Escambia County Engineering Department – Construction Management Division. The project provides enhanced stormwater improvements and sanitary sewer services to the majority of lots located in the Beach Haven neighborhood. This project is Phase II, Phase I is complete. The scope of this project includes drainage enhancements to the existing drainage system within the project area, removal of unsafe deep roadside ditches, prevent roadway and adjacent lot flooding, prevent roadside shoulder ponding, provide cul-de-sacs or “T” turnarounds at roadway terminations, provide roadway reconstruction & resurfacing improvements as adjacent roadways are impacted by the construction, and provide sanitary sewer services as directed by ECUA with elimination of septic tanks and associated drain fields. The other right-of-way users, i.e. utility companies, will be relocating their facilities as impacts will occur based on the design profiles and cross-sections.
