Description

work is comprised of providing maintenance and protection of traffic operations on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) for overnight tunnel barrel closures to support the structural inspection and investigation of the two tunnel barrels. All work shall be performed in the barrels and at the approaches to the Heroes Tunnel during overnight barrel closures. The project is located in the Town of Woodbridge and the City of New Haven near the Town of Hamden border in the State of Connecticut. Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is the facility owner. The Maintenance and Protection of Traffic includes: Diverting traffic from one barrel of the Heroes Tunnel to the other, using the existing crossover· Maintaining two-way operations within one barrel.Returning traffic to its original condition at the end of the work shift.
