Description

The Project or Work is made up of the Base Bid and Bid Alternate, includes the installation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of shoreline stabilization, the installation of sand fill to create a stable beach planform and marsh planting terrace and 55,325 square feet of beach backshore will be planted along the HRSD and the City of Newport News waterfront, in two (2) separate segments. The Project is separated into a Base Bid project for the HRSD property and Bid Alternate for the portion of the improvements on the City of Newport News property. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall be submitted electronically with each Bid. Contractorregistration in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 and Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia is required.
