Generator Service, Load Testing and Repair Services

In accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, for providing to the City of Redding generator service, load testing, and repair services per the bid specifications and general conditions. All bids must be submitted on standard bid forms provided by the City of Redding. The bidder shall provide the original (unbound) and one (1) copy of the bid proposal. Fax or electronic submission of bid proposals will not be allowed. The City will award any resulting contract in a manner consistent with the City purchasing ordinance. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the State of California, payable at sight to the City of Redding in an amount equal to or not less than ten (10) percent of the contract total. Should the bidder choose to furnish a bid bond in lieu of a certified check, he shall execute the form of "Bid Bond" attached to the documents. The said bond shall be secured from a responsible surety able to issue coverage in California. the successful Bidder shall provide the specified 100-percent Performance Bond and 100-percent Payment Bond, and insurance certificates in a timely manner. Once bonds and insurance are in order, a purchase order will be issued that must be acknowledged (countersigned) by the successful Bidder prior to performance of the Work. The contract period shall be from August 1, or dated of award, through July 31, 2024. This work will be performed on a firm-fixed price basis for the first year and each year thereafter will be subject to price modification in direct proportion to the change in the Producer Price Index.
