RFP D/B - Fire Station No. 3 New Construction

The purposes of this Request are: 1) to provide interested Design-Build firms ("DB") with sufficient information to enable them to submit a uniform responsive Proposals ("Proposals") for the County's review; 2) to set forth a systematic method of evaluation that will be fair and impartial to all interested DB's; and 3) to generate uniform Proposals for evaluation by the County. This RFP is complex and requires your immediate and careful attention. Barrow County, Georgia ("Barrow County") is in the process of securing competitive sealed Proposals to provide Design-Build services for the construction of a new facility to replace their existing Fire Station No. 3. In brief, Barrow County, GA is requesting that qualified Design-Builders provide the services that will facilitate the construction of a new Fire Station No. 3 building on a new site. Said services shall include, but are not limited to, those necessary to achieve the stated objectives in the attached Scope of Services. It is intended that Barrow County will enter into a Construction Services Agreement, on the form provided by the County, with a qualified DesignBuilder for a period to end December 31, 2023. Extensions will be predicated on satisfactory performance and funds availability. Proposing DB's, or their representatives or agents shall not contact any members, or employees, of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners or any Barrow County Elected Official or employee of any Barrow County Elected Official regarding this RFP, Qualifications evaluation, or selection process from the time the RFP is issued until the time a notification of intent to award is announced. The deadline for submission of questions relating to this RFP shall be 12:00 (Noon "Local Time"), Friday, August 05, 2022. All questions submitted in writing prior to the deadline will be compiled, answered in writing, and posted to the website as an addendum. Owner Reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals, to evaluate proposals, and to accept any proposals which, in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the Owner. No proposal will be rejected without just cause.
