Description

As of April 6, 2022, a design engineer has been selected. Bidding is anticipated to take place in November 2023 and construction in the summer of 2024. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The project will include the design and plan preparation for the reconstruction of Bridge 08-117-05.0. The Environmental Document and plans will be done in accordance with all North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and Burleigh County standards and submitted to the NDDOT for a possible federally funded bid opening. Design will be done in AutoCAD Civil 3d, 2019 or newer and follow all NDDOT Design and CAD standards. After an evaluation and selection process the results will be presented to the County Commission on Monday, March 7, 2022, beginning approximately at 5:00 PM, in the Tom Baker room of the City/County building for their approval. Consulting firms interested in performing the work shall submit four (4) copies of their proposal to P.O. Box 5518, 221 N. 5th St. in Bismarck, ND. Questions regarding the Request for Proposal should be directed to Marcus J. Hall, PE Burleigh County Engineer, 8100 43rd Ave NE, Bismarck, ND 58503, telephone (701) 204-7748. The contents of all proposals will be subject to the Open Records Law and may be open to inspection by interested parties. Any information included in the proposal that the proposing party believes to be a trade secret or proprietary information must be clearly identified in the proposal. Any identified information recognized as such and protected by law may be exempt from disclosure. Selection will be on the basis of the following criteria: 1) Recent, current, and projected workloads of firm's staff 2) Staff experience and technical capabilities 3) Related experience and performance on similar projects 4) Willingness to meet time and budgetary requirements Proposals should be limited to 7 (seven) pages; additional information may be placed in Appendixes. Consulting firm should also include a copy of their 2022 fee schedule. Fee schedule will not be used in the basis of selection. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals; to waive technicalities or to accept such as may be determined to be in the best interest of the County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
