Description | The scope of work includes the demolition of two (2) Vestas 1.65-megawatt wind turbines, including: clearing and grubbing; capping and proper disconnection of electrical interconnection, including transformers, low-, medium-, and high-voltage wiring, SCADA, communications and metering system; demolition of the wind turbines, disposal or recycling of all demolished system components and debris, site restoration, and all other ancillary activities required to complete the project. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable. For addition to the project plan holder's list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent. Interested bidders will be prompted to register an email address with Accent to access the documents. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200 - INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 - GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. Use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are not applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. however use of certified DBEs is strongly encouraged. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids as it deems in the best interest of the Owner. |
