Description

Work associated with entrance road rehabilitation, and the demolition, repairs and reconstruction to the adjacent red sandstone retaining walls. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Stone wall repair and reconstruction; new stone wall installation including structural reinforcement with segmental block and no-fines concrete; clearing/grubbing and subgrade preparation, pavement removal (including subbase) and installation of new asphalt pavement with subbase; geotextiles; underdrains, footing drains and surface drainage measures; site grading and erosion and sediment control measures; pedestrian/vehicular maintenance and protection of traffic measures; and general site/lawn restoration. Major items of the contract include (with approximate quantities): Historic stone wall demolition and repair - 2,250 SF Face Historic stone wall cap stone - 230 LF Segmental block wall construction - 1,800 SF Face No fines concrete backfill - 390 CY Concrete leveling pad - 65 CY Asphalt pavement and subbase - 1,300 SF Topsoil and sod - 3,200 SF Drainage Pipe - 415 LF
