Prep Room Improvements at Irvine Valley College

Scope of Services Conversion of the existing exterior alcove into interior space extension of existing Prep Room, inclusive of demolition and removal of required existing construction. The work is comprised of, but not necessarily limited to, the removal of the existing exterior concrete slab-on-grade and replacement with a new interior concrete slab-on-grade and vapor barrier, inclusive of a thickened slab and curb at the new exterior non-bearing wall. The new non-bearing wall will be finished on the exterior side with painted cement plaster (match existing) and painted gypsum board on the interior. The existing exterior (exit) pair doors and hardware shall be relocated with a new hollow metal frame at the new exterior wall. The existing wall finishes will remain as well as the existing suspended metal ceiling which will be patched, repaired, and replaced, as necessary to accommodate the new exterior wall head connection. HVAC work, connected to the existing system and new and relocated electrical, lighting and fire alarm scope, and all other construction and components to be provided and installed as shown on the Drawings and Specifications (A# 04-120599). Additional scope has been added per Addendum No. 1: DRAWINGS FLOOR PLAN A1300 and SCHEDULES A6100. Revise Contract Scope as follows: The existing pair doors shall remain as is. Provide a new, matching set of pair hollow metal doors and finish hardware, and new hollow metal frame for a complete installation. The new exterior pair doors shall swing 180 degrees. In addition to the specified hardware on Sheet A6100, provide two (2) new floor stops located 3-inches from the exterior wall. HW SET FS18L BLK IVE Existing pair doors.
