CPS Bridge Riverbank Stabilization

The work shall consist of installing and maintaining structural measures (turbidity curtain) and performing work to control erosion and minimize the production of sediment and other pollutants to downstream waters during construction operations. This item shall consist of all work necessary to control soil erosion and minimize the introduction of sediment and other pollutants to waterways. The Contractor is responsible for following the approved erosion and sedimentation control plan and permit requirements for the site and assumes liability for any fines or regulatory actions that may be imposed by the Contractor’s failure to do so. All erosion and sedimentation control measures shall be adequately maintained in a functional condition during construction and until the site is stabilized, as determined by the Engineer. All temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures shall be removed once the site is stabilized and accepted by the Engineer, and the site is restored to original conditions, or better, as determined by the Engineer.
