Newington Road Water Main Replacement Design and Construction Project

Ductile iron pipe shall be paid for at the Contract unit price bid per linear foot for the designated size of ductile iron pipe installed, completed, and in place. This price and payment shall be full compensation for all coordination with the Owner for Work on the existing system, isolating the water main, cutting the main, installing all pipes, joints, joint restraint, restraining rods, specials, and fittings, installing thrust blocks, saw-cutting of pavement trench, excavation (except for rock and boulder removal), transportation of all excavated soils that are not incorporated into the work to the designated soil disposal facility, support of excavation and protection of the water main and existing utilities, structures, dewatering, furnishing and installing bedding materials, installing backfill materials to subgrade, compaction, connecting to existing pipes, utility identification tape, pressure testing the pipe, disinfecting and flushing, water quality testing, and all other Items necessary to complete the Work.
