Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION In general, the Project includes: The replacement of a failing, five-story, exterior, pre-cast concrete stair system with a new steel system at the City of Eugene's Overpark parking garage, located at 1000 E 10th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401. Project also includes stucco and gutter repair in the adjacent elevator tower. Bid Alternates include elevator vestibule improvements and elevator tower painting. Those acquiring documents are responsible to obtain all addenda. PREVAILING WAGE This project is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. BID SECURITY Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, by one of the following methods: Attach a scanned version of a paper bid bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Savings and Loan Secured Check, or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a financial institution; the validity of which will be verified after the bid opening. The City of Eugene reserves the right to reject any Bid for good cause upon finding that it is in the best interest of the City to do so. Question Deadline 06/08/2023 Bidders and Sub-Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a request to reach the Architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of Bids A. Demolition and general construction required to repair the existing elevator and stair tower located on the west side of the City of Eugene's Overpark Parking Garage, including the replacement of the stair system within the tower. The existing pre-cast concrete stair units are spalling and are no longer safe for use. B. Investigations revealed some water damage inside the SE corner of the elevator tower. Remediation of some cosmetic rusting discovered on steel elements inside the wall is part of the Work.
