Description

Continuing the project to provide streambank stabilization through the Middle Rouge River. This project includes seven site areas along the Middle Rouge River that were identified to benefit from engineering intervention. The project will include excavation, tree removal, vegetative rip-rap and vegetative mechanically stabilized earth as methods to restore the streambank to a satisfactory condition. Portions of the streambank have fallen below standards of use. This project includes sites identified in the 2014 Storm Water Master Plan as Middle Rouge Sites #27 to #33. As of June 20, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2028 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023.
