Description

Renovations at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The project includes: - Installation of temporary cofferdam to support construction. - Construction of new caisson and repair of caisson seat. - Structural repairs to dry dock floors and walls (includes pinning the dry dock floor via micropiling). - Repair of dry dock utility systems (includes: potable water, fire protection, salt water, sewer, oily waste, steam, electrical, and communication systems). - Renovation of pump well mechanical and electrical systems and architectural features (includes installation of three (3) 85,000 gallons per minute vertical mixed flow dewatering pumps).
