Description | Question Acceptance Deadline 05/30/2023 01:00 PM EDT Description The project includes the permanent closure of Forrest Street and the expansion of DeLeon Plaza into the former roadway. The project includes relocation and expansion of utilities, new paving and flatwork, and the construction of a restroom and performance pavilion. Other miscellaneous improvements such as site furnishings, landscaping and irrigation are also included. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required he project includes permanently closing W. Forrest Street between Bridge Street and Main Street to be used as a festival space with added amenitiesto attract visitors to Downtown Victoria. The project base bid consists of modifying the curb lines and paving of W. Forrest Street to accommodate an enhanced pedestrian space and the construction of a new performance pavilion, a new restroom/storage building, associated electrical and IT improvements, and other architectural enhancements. The project includes decorative concrete pavement, brick pavers, hot mix asphalt pavement, ADA compliant sidewalks and pedestrian facilities, water distribution, wastewater collection, storm water drainage, landscaping, and irrigation improvements. Additional work items include traffic and pedestrian signalization, pavement markings, signage, traffic control and sequencing, and coordination with franchise utility owners and City Departments on existing utilities. Additive Alternate No. 1 - Item A1, Granite Paving Inlay includes constructing a new granite inlay feature of the City of Victoria logo. Additive Alternate No. 2 - Item A2, Historic Light Fixture Refurbishment includes the removal, refurbishment, painting, rewiring with LED, and reinstallation of the existing historic light fixtures. Additive Alternate No. 3 - Item A3, Shade Canopy includes constructing a steel fabricated shade structure and masonry bases attached to the new restroom. Additive Alternate No. 4 - Item A4, Additional Area Lights includes light poles, directional LED luminaries, and bases. The selected Respondent will be also responsible for: obtaining all applicable permits and inspections; providing all necessary performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates; and providing the Owner with all manufacturers' warranties and all operations and maintenance (O & M) manuals for all equipment installed. The selected Respondent may be required to perform some or all of the following pre-construction and construction services. Preconstruction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, planning and value engineering the Work. Construction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, all work associated with construction, occupancy and warranty of the facilities. |
