Description | The Work is comprised into four (4) Contracts: Contract No. 1 – General Construction, Contract No. 2 – Mechanical Construction, Contract No. 3 – Electrical Construction, and Contract No. 4 – Combined General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction. Individual Bids will be received for each Contract as well as Contract No. 4 - Combined General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction. The Owner will not accept a combined Bid unless that Bid is lower than the combined total of the lowest and best Bids for the Separate Contracts. The Work for each Contract is generally described as follows: Contract No. 1 – General Construction: Work generally includes construction of a pump station facility approximately 45 feet by 31 feet 4 inches consisting of, but not limited to: cast-in-place concrete foundation and mat slab; CMU superstructure; vertical end suction centrifugal pumps; interior process piping, valves, and flow meters; concrete driveway; site piping including approximately 40 feet of 36-inch DI pipe, 830 feet of 24-inch PVC pipe, fittings, valves, associated appurtenances, and surface restoration. Contract No. 2 – Mechanical Construction: Work generally includes HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment including building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary drainage, and water piping. Contract No. 3 – Electrical Construction: Work generally includes all electrical, instrumentation and controls construction associated with the booster pump station facility including, but not limited to: (1) 400A main electrical service (underground feeder from existing switchboard in detached facility) and associated power distribution equipment; (3) 6-pulse VFDs; installation of VFDs and associated circuits to VFDs for centrifugal pumps; interior and exterior building lighting, pole light and retrofitting 12 HID area lights with LED; access control/security; temporary removal of conduit in vault; pump station panel, installation and wiring; control panel (furnished by owner) installation and wiring, and miscellaneous instrumentation. Some equipment noted above is Owner furnished as defined in the Contract Documents. |
