Description

As of December 18, 2023, the project has been completed. Demolition took 2 days to be completed, however, an exact timeline has not been cofnirmed. All questions related to this project must be submitted, via email, to: Ben M. Cayabyab, Contracts Manager Contra Costa Community College District 500 Court St., Martinez, CA 94553 Email: bcayabyab@4cd.edu SCOPE OF WORK: A. Under this Application, demolition activity will occur at the Art Gallery Building and the associated pedestrian bridge of DVC Pleasant Hill, CA Campus, using the sequences listed in the drawings. The Art Gallery Building will be fully demolished to subgrade. The existing foundations shall be left in place and below grade portions of the structure shall be backfilled to match the existing grade. Add minimum 2% slope at final Backfill. The final condition includes the construction of a new guardrail and restoration of the grade conditions after the demolition of the Art Gallery Building. See Drawings and Specs. WORK CONTRACT, CHANGES (a) By their signatures below, effective on the above date, these parties promise and agree as set forth in this Agreement, incorporating by these references labor and materials contained in Section 2, Scope of Work. (b) Contractor shall, at Contractor's own cost and expense, and in a workmanlike manner, fully and faithfully perform and complete the work; and will furnish all materials, labor, services, equipment, and transportation necessary, convenient and proper in order fairly to perform the requirements of this contract, all strictly in accordance with the Scope of Work in Section 2 above, and the Public Agency's plans, drawings and specifications, and with Supplementary General Conditions, if any. (c) The work can be changed only with Public Agency's prior written order specifying such change and its cost agreed to by the parties; and the Public Agency shall never have to pay more than specified in Section 7 without such an orde
