Description

The Contractor shall perform improvements to repair the Flight Test Apron from East of Hangar 204 at the north end to section of pavement between Hangars 233 and 220 on the south end. The work shall consist of replacement of existing Portland cement concrete (PCC) slabs throughout the section, along with full rework of structural base materials, as required for seasonal frost conditions, all in accordance with current UFC standards. Work also includes replacement of 5 aircraft rated catch basin structures and connecting RC pipes, providing static grounding points and pavement markings on new apron pavement, and replacement of existing adjacent asphalt pavement. The scope of work also includes replacement of five Post Indicator Valves (PIV) serving Hangar 233. The extent of Electrical work shall be the installation of static grounding points on the apron connecting tamper switches to the new PIVs. The demolition includes but is not limited to removal of existing apron PCC slabs, adjacent asphalt pavements, 5 catch basin structures and connecting RC pipes, removal of 5 PIVs and surrounding bollards and the removal of one monitoring well cap. Any asbestos/LBP removal shall be accomplished by a certified asbestos/LBP removal contractor.
