Gypsy Trail Bridge

This project consists of the replacement of the Gypsy Trail bridge. The new bridge is a single-lane vehicle bridge approximately 50 ft. long and 18.5 ft. wide. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the existing bridge, installation of new concrete footers set behind the existing abutments, sanitary sewer work to include supporting the existing sanitary sewer pipe along the west side of the existing bridge, installation of the new prefabricated steel bridge, re-attachment of the existing sanitary sewer pipe, and all associated site restoration. The new bridge will extend approximately 10' beyond the existing bridge limits on each end. The existing bridge abutments will remain in place for erosion control measures to protect the new footers but will no longer be part of the support system for the new bridge.
