Description

Scope of Work: This project involves the replacement of all the exterior glazing at Terminal 1 Concourses B and C at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The work includes glazing for windows, gaskets and clips, site work and demolition. Goal Participation: This solicitation is open to the general marketplace. County/State License Requirements: In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (refer to Special Instructions for requirements). Broward County, as a non-federal entity, is required to include the following contract clauses into contracts that may be subject to reimbursement from FEMA. Interested bidders or proposers are instructed to review the requirements of the attachment titled, FEMA Contract Clauses Effective October 1, 2020, and by submitting a response to this solicitation is acknowledging and agreeing to the specified contractual requirements. Basis of Award: It is the County's intent to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on a total bid price (sum of all items) basis. Bid Guaranty: Each submittal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount (refer to Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Guaranties, and Qualifications of Surety Requirements). Questions and Answers: The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope S2G by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions via Periscope. Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the County to receive a valid response through Periscope. Refer to the Purchasing Division website or contact Periscope for submittal instructions. It is the Vendor's sole responsibility to assure its response is submitted and received through Periscope by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The County will not consider solicitation responses received by other means. Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through Periscope, immediately notify the Purchasing Agent and then contact Periscope for technical assistance.
