Description

We reserve the right to reject any proposal based on our needs at the time of the bid opening. Project execution is dependent on approval by the Legislature. The successful bidder will provide a 48 strand fiber cable between the two sites. All site survey and makeready work will be incorporated into the successful bidder's proposal. The shortest path following city streets is approximately .5 miles. The County has a fiber run that passes directly in front of the building and will be used as we already have rights on those poles. The successful vendor will determine what additional poles will be needed to effect attachment to the desired location. The successful proposal will become an exhibit in a contract between the vendor and Cortland County. A sample of our standard contract is attached. Please read, understand and agree with the terms and conditions in that contract before submitting your proposal. The intent is have a completed project that adheres to current and commonly accepted guidelines for an installation of this sort. Any defects in the specifications that would cause the project to fall short of that threshold should be noted and addressed in the pre-bid meeting. If an addendum is required, it will be published June 8th, 2022. Installation start date is contingent upon approval of the Cortland County Legislature.
