Description | It is the Town of Queen Creeks intent to enter into a preconstruction services and construction services contract with a qualified construction manager/general contractor to construct CIP Queen Creek Aquatics and Recreation Center. The project is located between Signal Butte Road on the east, 220th Street on the west, Ryan Road on the north, and the Frontier Family Park Drainage Culvert on the south in Queen Creek, AZ. This project consists of the construction of a 5-acre aquatic and recreation center, which includes an approximately 65,000 square foot recreation building including but not limited to gymnasium, fitness areas, group exercise studio, indoor track, multipurpose classrooms, multipurpose meeting rooms, teen room, child watch room, locker rooms with showers, lobby with customer service counter, staff offices, and building/facility automation system. The outdoor aquatics center will consist of a Junior Olympic competition lap pool, zero-depth entry recreation pool with interactive play features, water slides, and lazy river as well as shade structures, ramadas, outdoor party spaces, pump house, and pool barriers. All final construction contracts that may arise from this solicitation will be guaranteed maximum price ("GMP") contracts. The project may require multiple GMP contracts to complete the construction in the time frames required.
