Fort Vancouver HS Portable Classroom Addition

. Bids will be received as follows: General Contract to prepare the site at Fort Vancouver High School as described in Civil Engineer drawings and specs. This will include installation of erosion control measures, strippings and fine grading of the swale North of the modular. Provide and install compacted gravel underneath portable and install new footings under modulars as described in drawings from Modern Building Systems. Coordinate installation of modular buildings on new foundations by district vendor. Installation of new utilities (power, low voltage, storm drainage) and connect to new modular building. Minor modifications to the modulars, once moved to the site by owner's vendor includes: Adjusting of gutters to drain to the North end and reconnect to two existing downspouts attached to the walls. Remove and dispose of existing downspouts on opposite side, patch gutters, as necessary. GC to include any painting touch up on modulars, as needed, where contract work occurs. Existing ramp and stair assembly to be disassembled from existing modular location at Franklin Elementary School, relocated and re-assembled at Fort Vancouver High School. Construction of new walkways and landings as described in Civil Engineer drawings. No bid will be considered unless in complete accord with the instructions to bidders, and submitted upon the official proposal form included in the contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified bank check, or cashier's check executed in favor of the Owner for not less than 5 percent (%) of the basic bid amount, excluding applicable State of Washington taxes. Bid security shall be forfeited as damages should the bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a contract and provide a suitable bond for performance/payment for labor and materials.
