South Seas

Project entails the partial demolition of the Richmond Hotel and South Seas Hotel. Two-thirds of these hotels will be demolished to make room for a pool deck and an 18-floor residential tower containing 96 units to be erected on the east side of the property, adjacent to the beach. The residential tower would also include three rooftop pools. Amenities for residents at the building would be split between the tower itself and the South Seas Hotel. The Richmond Hotel guest rooms would decrease from 107 to 10 and the South Seas Hotel guest rooms would decrease from 117 to 11 after redevelopment. Much of the floor space at the Richmond Hotel would be dedicated to restaurants, with 24- and 60-seat restaurants to be included on the ground floor of the hotel. Just north of the tower, a three-story food and beverage pavilion would be constructed on the oceanside portion of the property. The ground would feature an outdoor bar and a patio with the capacity for 103 patrons. The second and third floors would offer additional seating.
