Fiber Conduit Inter-Connect (Orange Route - Phase 2)

The Fiber Conduit Inter-connect project (Orange Route – Phase 2) includes installation of one 7-way multi-duct conduit within a 4-inch HDPE sleeve, one 7-way multi-duct conduit and two 1-inch HDPE conduits in a duct bank configuration, installation of one 7-way multi-duct conduit within a 4-inch HDPE sleeve in a stand-alone configuration, installation of 1.5-inch HDPE conduit, installation of structures and surface restoration along the South Grand Prairie Parkway, Raccoon River Drive and Booneville Road corridors in the City of West Des Moines, Iowa. Improvements include installing approximately 23,027 lineal feet of 4-inch HDPE conduit, installing 23,412 lineal feet of 7-way multi-duct conduit within the 4-inch sleeve, installing 12,366 lineal feet of 7-way multi-duct conduit in a duct bank configuration and 26,554 lineal feet of 1-inch HDPE conduit in a duct bank configuration, installation of 11,648 lineal feet of 1.5-inch HDPE conduit, installation of handholes and vaults, installation of test stations, racking systems in the structures, clearing and grubbing, erosion control, traffic control and other associated improvements required for a complete and functional conduit network for the future installation of fiber optic cables.
