Description

Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, payable to the Ferry County, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price. The project generally consists of the following work: Removing an existing undersized culvert, installing a three-sided aluminum box culvert, associated roadway repairs, and other related work. Thirty (30) working days will be allowed to complete the work. This project is funded through a Federal STP grant. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or subcontract resulting from this solicitation of bids. All work performed will be subject to the higher of State or Federal prevailing wage rates. Award of the construction contract is contingent upon approval by the funding agency. The County shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. "Ferry County in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award."
