2023 Public Works Access Gates Replacement Project

Reference Number 0000320609 The City of Gunnison is requesting bids from qualified contractors to install two 20' wide by 6' tall chain link pivot gates at the City of Gunnison Public Works facility. The contractor will be responsible for removing the old gates and concrete and installing new gates and concrete; hooking up control pads, loops, safety edges, and heaters. Contractor must supply the equipment and labor and materials for the work. All bidders must meet onsite with Chris Green, Facilities Manager, prior to submitting a bid. Locations - The locations of the work to be performed will be at the City of Gunnison Public Works Department located at 1100 W. Virginia, Gunnison, Colorado and further described in Exhibit A - Project Locations. A Schedule of Work Items and location maps are attached and referenced in Section 9.0-Documents, Exhibits, and Other Attachments. Work Performed - The contractor will supply equipment, labor, and materials (except those specified). The work performed under this contract consists of: Removal and disposal of existing east gate and removal and storage and/or installation of existing west gate. Removal includes existing concrete. Installation of two 20' wide by 6' tall chain link pivot gates and concrete. Connecting existing control pads, loops, safety edges, and heaters to new gates. Add alternate- installation of an existing gate at a new location. 1.4 Disposal of demolished concrete free of rebar, wire mesh, or other metal can be disposed in an approved area at the City Tree Dump at no cost to the CONTRACTOR. Scrap metal and electronics can be disposed of in an approved area at the Public Works facility at no cost to the CONTRACTOR. All other disposed materials will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR.
