I-19-4476 Roadway and Bridge Widening and Reconstruction

The scope of the work shall consist of improvements along the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) between Mile Post 32.3 and Mile Post 32.8. I-290 between Electric Avenue and the Union Pacific Railroad. St. Charles Road w est of I-290 to east of I-294. All improvements are in Cook County, Illinois. The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to: 1.) Roadway – Reconstruction and widening of Westbound I-290 including new C-D Roadway at St. Charles Road,- Reconstruction/Realignment of four ramps east of I-290 at St. Charles Road Interchange.- St. Charles Road reconstruction- I-294 Advanced MOT Crossover Construction - I-294 advanced MOT Northbound Shoulder Reconstruction. 2.) Bridges - Bridge Deck Replacement of St. Charles Road over I-290 (SN 016-1136) - Removal and replacement of approach slabs- Cleaning and painting of the existing steel superstructure - Removal of existing east slope w all and installation of concrete soil nail reinforced and drilled soldier pile retaining walls, with textured surface.- Installation of crashwalls at the piers along I-290- Drainage, sign installation and other ancillary work- Bridge Reconstruction of St. Charles Road over I-294 (BN 227) 3.) Retaining Wall- Soil Nail/Soldier Pile Retaining Wall at east abutment of SN 016-1136 to allow for C-D roadway gradingTS32,49R, NB Performance Based Retaining Wall supporting St. Charles Road Embankment southeast of BN 227. 4.) Drainage- Storm Sewers - Storm Sewers Jacking - Detention Ponds- I-290 Signing Improvements- Erosion and Sediment Control Landscape Improvements- Maintenance of Traffic- Temporary Lighting and Permanent Lighting Improvements- Proposed ITS infrastructure. Goal VSB-1.5%
