Water Fountain Installation

Southland Park Tap the existing water line located approximately south of the shelter building, install a control valve curb stop in a meter well, run approximately 50 feet of 1 inch schedule 40 PVC supply line to a rough in for the fountain at the location indicated by site plan provided. After concrete work is completed by others, return to finish the installation of the fountain. Veterans Park: Dog Park Tap the existing water line located behind the maintenance shop at Veterans Park and install a control valve and approximately 580 ft. of 2 inch schedule 40 PVC water line. Also install two (2) tees and curb stops in a meter well for future use per site plan provided. Rough in for the installation of the Murdock GYM54 pedestal fountain at the location indicated by site plan provided. After concrete work is completed by others, return to finish the installation of the fountain. General Scope The main water line should be a minimum of two inches in diameter. The branch water lines for the drinking fountains should be a minimum of one inch diameter. Tracer wire to be installed with all new water lines back to the control valve curb stop. Tracer wire should be a minimum of twelve gauge wire. The wire should be taped to the water line at four foot intervals prior to the water line being placed into the ditch. Installation of a Murdock GY series fountain (pedestal mounted drinking fountain with bottle filler, freeze resistant). Fixture to be provided by Owner. All supply lines, valves, fittings, and miscellaneous parts/supplies needed for the installation, hardware, shut off valves, back-flow preventer, pressure regulator, drain lines, valve boxes, gravel, and site restoration are to be provided by the Contractor.
