Description

This initial phase of construction will focus on the library's second floor, the primary entry level. The aim is to create a new one-stop center that includes academic assistance programs integrated with existing and relocated library functions. New academic assistance programs include the Academic Success Center, the Sam Center, the Office of Student Success and the McNair Scholar Program. This renovation will encompass approximately 33,000 gross square feet. It is critical that the Library remain operational during the entire duration of this project. Phasing of the construction activities will be critical to the project's success. Due to the phasing and relocation requirements of the project other areas of the Library will be impacted by the construction activities. Other elements of the project will include: 1. Exterior facade modifications. 2. Existing infrastructure modifications. 3. High density shelving equipment.
