| Description | The work consists of demolishing the existing asphalt roof and installing a new 3-tab asphalt roof. The new roofing system shall include all the manufacturer’s compatible accessories including, but not limited to underlayment, felt, adhesives, roof jacks, vent flashings, edge and corner components, valley components, drip flashing, etc. The project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all the operations for the work specified. Option #1 work consists of replacing roof substrate as necessary. Option #2 work consists of adding soffit vents to the existing blocking. Option #3 work consists of installing a PBR metal roof instead of an asphalt shingle roof. The contractor shall provide a cost for the base bid to install an asphalt roof, option #1 bid to replace roof substrate, option #2 bid to install soffit vents, and option #3 bid to install a PBR metal roof. If option #3 is awarded, there will be a contract modification to remove pay item 073113(01) MLWC OFFICE ASPHALT SHINGLES and replace it with pay item 074113(01) MLWC OFFICE PBR METAL ROOF. |
