Description | WORK DESCRIPTION 1. Contractor shall be familiarized with work site area, to identify placement of equipment, materials to avoid unauthorized obstruction of the normal operations of the building. 2. Contractor to submit cut-sheets of the proposed material and equipment for approval from the County of Essex, before ordering and/or starting the job. 3. Contractor to remove the existing letters and refill any hole with silicone. 4. Prepare the wall and the existing screen to be able to receive the installation of the new lettering and its accessories, see Appendix A. Includes drill holes, run wire and all necessary connectors. 5. Complete the installation of the letters and connect the system. 6. Testing and provide training of the County representative. The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: (1) addressed to the County, (2) bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and (3) clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid # being bid. Bid Bonds that contain the following language: "shall pay the Obligee the difference are unacceptable, the law is 10% of the bid amount not to exceed $20,000.00. Bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance, and labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the required labor and materials of this contract. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Office of Purchasing via fax to 973-621-5109, no later than 4:30 PM at the end of business day, eight (8) business days prior to deadline for bid submission date as stated above. The entire work of the Project shall be completed in 45 Calendar Days after a Notice to Proceed, or within a given duration as specified in the technical section herein. Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bid proposals. |
