Description

Q & A deadline: Jul 01, 2022 1:00:00 PM EDT City Hall Renovations: This project will include four (4) phases. Architexas & Steinberg Hart have been tasked with the design services for all phases. Phase 1 will be designed and bid as base scope and phases 2, 3 & 4 will be designed and bid as alternate scope. City Hall is intended to remain operational during construction.Additional details to keep City Hall operational during the above-mentioned phases will be provided to the short-listed firms at the RFP stage. Phase 1 scope of work includes the following: Renovate existing staff areas Expand staff into Grand Hall Renovate restrooms and expand to meet facility needs less Civic Center Improve security for staff and citizens Create a one stop shop experience for citizens. Replace windows with more efficient glass Replace aging MEP systems Update MEP systems for proposed conditions and improve overall efficiencies. Phase 2 scope of work includes the following: Renovate and expand Council Chambers Adaptable for multiple uses Secure for City Council, staff, and citizens Enhanced views of the plaza and fountain Phase 3 scope of work includes the following: Renovate existing Richardson and Parks Conference Rooms to better fit staff uses. Phase 4 scope of work includes the following: Construct a new main entrance that is obvious to the public Reclad the exterior to better match the library & campus. Library Renovations: Single phase construction: the existing library will be relocated during construction. Library renovation scope of work includes the following: Upgrade existing aging MEP and life safety systems Repair exterior structural deficiencies without substantially changing the architectural style or building aesthetics. Building envelope upgrades to repair water infiltration and increase energy efficiency. Increase useable floor space within the building footprint by infilling the atrium space on level 2 & 3. Improve sight lines, circulation, and space planning for efficiency. Visible and easily accessible entrance and focal point. Flexible space with easily accessible community areas.
