Reference Number 0000320267 Question Acceptance Deadline 06/07/2023 08:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes The Work included in this Project consists of the rehabilitation of fifteen (15) 60"-diameter manholes (MHs) by the installation of a Composite Manhole Insert with bench repair, traffic control, public notifications, diversion of sewage flow and dewatering, sewer structure cleaning, remote CCTV inspection of existing and rehabilitated MHs, and restoring areas disturbed by construction activities back to pre-construction conditions. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % Major work to be performed under these Technical Specifications includes the following: 1. General: a) Provide all traffic control on streets, alleys and driveways during construction as necessary for cleaning and rehabilitation of 60-inch diameter access manholes through internal inserts installation. Traffic control plans must be submitted to and approved by the City of Avondale prior to beginning work. b) Coordination with a Public Notification Firm for notification of construction activities to the general public. Contractor shall maintain pedestrian and driveway access to properties and walk paths during the course of the work. Maintain sanitary sewer service to properties and prevent sewage backups into homes and businesses. c) Restore areas disturbed by construction activities back to preconstruction conditions. 2. Manhole Rehabilitation a) Clean manhole interior using grit and/or hydro-blasting techniques to prepare interior manhole surfaces according to proposed insert manufacturer recommendations. b) Install a protective epoxy coating to the interior bench of existing concrete manholes.
