Description | Replace fire station 64 in its entirety and expand Kiwanis Park on existing fire station #64 site. Manpower and equipment for existing fire station 64 will remain on site an active throughout the entire construction process of the new station. General Contractors with relative experience constructing similar projects within the last 5 years are encouraged to submit the qualifications for construction. This project comprises the demolition and mitigation of existing trees on northeast side Kiwanis park to construct a new prototype fire station with associated site work similar to the existing Coral Spring Fire Stations #43 & #95. The only difference between this building and prototype station is the living quarters will be facing the canal side therefore station will be flipped. This project also comprises the demolition of the existing fire station 64 and site amenities and restoring that site to expand Kiwanis Park. The existing fire station #64 will remain in full operation 24/7 until the new prototype station #64 is built on Kiwanis Park. The new fire station will be approximately 8,925 square feet each with three apparatus bays and constructed on northeast side Kiwanis park as freestanding buildings. The existing site has been redesigned to work with the new building construction. Construction of this building and park restoration includes but is not limited to demolition of the existing facility, soil treatment, reinforced concrete foundation, reinforced masonry structure, Level “E” aluminum storefront doors and operable windows, associated glass and glazing, Level “E” exterior steel doors, Level “E” bi-fold apparatus bay doors, metal trusses, roof structure consisting of steel bar joist steel roof deck, 3 inch lightweight concrete topping, rigid board insulation and a SBS roofing system. Roof ladder and flashings are also required. Exterior stucco plaster finish, foam moldings, stucco bands, access doors and panels and associated hardware. Interior drywall partition systems, interior wood doors, interior hollow metal doors, interior finishes including; porcelain wall tile, acoustical ceiling tile, gypsum wall board ceiling systems, carpet squares, quartz epoxy flooring, painting and other similar interior finishes, signage, accessories, lockers, commercial kitchen equipment, installation owner-furnished equipment. Also included is work associated mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical systems, new exterior generators, site lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and monument signage. |
