Description

The work in this contract is for the Reclaimed Water Pump Station for Champions Municipal Utility District (CMUD) located along Paradise Valley Drive. The purpose of this project is to install a new reclaimed water pump station to serve both the CMUD and Champions Golf Course water demands. Installation of 12-inch purple C-900 reclaimed water line, including fittings, and control of ground and surface water. Additional work includes tie-in proposed reclaimed water line to existing 12-inch reclaimed water line as installed by others, and installation of a combination air release valve, including manhole. The existing reclaimed water line has markers at the cap locations to be used for tie-in purposes. A portion of the proposed reclaimed water line will be shared between the CMUD and Champions Golf Course as shown on the plans. Installation of two 12-inch motor operated valves (MOVs) including concrete valve vaults, locations as shown on plans. One MOV is set to serve the CMUD reclaimed water line section and the second MOV is to serve the future Champions Golf Course reclaimed water line section. Additional work includes installation of 4-inch HDPE drain lines, going from valve vaults to existing storm inlet located north of the plant site, as shown on plans. Installation of a 12-inch meter with a concrete vault on the CMUD reclaimed water line section. Installation of a 20,000-gallon vertical polyethylene ground storage tank (GST) including tank support system, hot-dip galvanized access ladder with cage, and a concrete foundation for the GST. Contractor shall provide shop drawings for the GST and tank supports, sign and sealed by a professional Engineer currently registered in the state of Texas prior to installation. Installation of a 5,000-gallon hydro-pneumatic tank (HPT) including piping, supports, appurtenance, and a concrete foundation. Additional work includes installation of 6-inch reclaimed water line to tie-in HPT to pumping station and stub-outs with cap and markers for future reclaimed water lines. Contractor shall provide shop drawings for the GST and tank supports, sign and sealed by a professional Engineer currently registered in the state of Texas prior to installation. Installation of a pump station, including flanged ductile iron piping, sample taps, a submersible pump, valves, fittings, pipe supports, yard piping, concrete foundation, and any accessories needed to have a complete and functional pump stations. Ductile iron piping section shall extend from GST to 6-inch reclaimed water line tie-in to HPT. Additional work includes installation of 6-inch HDPE overflow piping for the proposed GST and proposed HPT. Overflow pipe shall tie into proposed sanitary sewer manhole, location as shown on plans. Removal of an existing fiberglass sanitary sewer manhole and replacing said manhole with a pre-cast concrete manhole, including a watertight frame and cover, location shown on plans. New manhole to serve proposed 6-inch tanks overflow lines. Additional work includes connecting existing 6-inch drain line from existing lift station wet well. Installation of a new air compressor, breaker and any appurtenances as necessary for a complete and functional system. Air compressor shall be located on top of the elevated slab for the existing lift station for flood mitigation. Installation of a new fully operational electrical system, including instrumentation, controls, conduits, and all related appurtenances for site lighting, GST and HPT pressure probes, terminal boxes, and receptacles. Additional work includes modifications to the existing panelboard circuitry as necessary. Demolition of existing underground utilities, as necessary, to properly install and complete proposed reclaimed water pump station.
