Lake School Park - Master Plan, Grading & Playground - City of Creve Coeur

Due to unsafe equipment and surrounding surfaces, a 20+ year old playground was removed from Lake School Park in FY 2020. This project involves development of a long-range detailed site development plan and the subsequent construction of a new playground at Lake School Park. Currently there are no play structures, swings or slides for children to play on at Lake School Park. Residents have requested a new playground addition to the park, which will complement the tennis courts and allow full family enjoyment. This project will coordinate with the recommendations of the Park Master Plan and the preliminary designs for Lake School Park. Project is in the FY2024-2028 CIP plan. As of May 31, 2023, a design team has been selected. Per owner, they are only doing a 50% design study at this time and won't go to bid until 2026 or 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
