BCPWD 22/23-08 Concrete Retaining Wall Block

A. Concrete blocks furnished under these specifications shall measure approximately 2’-0” in height and width and shall be approximately 6’-0” in length. On the top, there shall be a projecting triangular keyway, running the full length of the block approximately 6” in width and 3” in height. A similar recessed keyway shall be on the bottom of the block. On one end of the block shall be a projecting triangular keyway, running the full height of the block, approximately 6” in width and 3” in height. A similar recessed keyway shall be on the opposite end of the block. B. There shall be at least one lifting device embedded in the top of the block. The lifting device shall be of sufficient size and strength to be utilized in lifting, loading, and placing the block. C. The blocks shall have a smooth, straight surface on the top, bottom and ends to allow for close fitting horizontal and vertical joints. D. The blocks shall be made of poured concrete that is a by-product of ready-mix concrete production. E. Boone County realizes the importance of having a waste management policy and supporting recycling industries to further such policy. Therefore, preference may be given to purchasing items containing recycled material whenever practicable and feasible. The term of this contract shall be for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

Division 33 -	Utilities, Storm Drainage Utilities, Ponds and Reservoirs.
Division 35 -	Waterway and Marine Construction, Shoreline Protection, Waterway Construction and Equipment.
